Inspiration :: City Sophisticate

Today's inspiration board is inspired by a sophisticated city wedding.  Who better to base this board on than Grace Kelly?  She is always the perfect inspiration for anything sophisticated and glamorous. I imagine this wedding on the rooftop garden of a fabulous downtown hotel. A palate of indigo, pops of orange and yellow, balanced out with plenty of cream and silver tones.  Add a little sparkle and you have the perfect formula for a sophisticated soiree.

Inspiration :: simple picnic wedding

Recently, someone asked me how I came up with my ideas for inspiration boards. Well, it usually goes something like this...

I went to the plant nursery today and bought a bunch of poppies, runuculus, stock, and English daises to brighten up my mostly drought tolerant front garden.  Being among all the pretty flowers in bloom  got me dreaming about summer picnics, which led to the idea of how lovely a simple picnic wedding would be. And that's how this inspiration board was born :)

Inspiration :: Mexican Beach Elopement

It's Wednesday again.  My friends still haven't decided on what type of wedding they want, but I have a strong feeling that there is an elopement in the cards ;) So this weeks inspiration is a Mexican beach elopement.  Casual, relaxed, and sexy.

The best advice I can give for an elopement is to hire an awesome photographer to capture it. Splurge, you're worth it! Besides, most likely your family will be pissed that they missed it, so having quality photos to show may ease the pain...or feed the fire...

If I could have a wedding do-over, I would definitely choose a winery wedding.  I love wine. I love vineyards.  I love the idea of eating a delicious farm to table meal among the vines, drinking the wine from the vines...Seriously dreamy.

Inspiration :: A Country Wedding

Being a country girl at heart (growing up in Oklahoma will do that to you) I have a deep love for down home styled weddings.  This wedding would be right at home on the farm, in the meadow, or near the barn.  The teal and orange palate is lively but comfortable.  Keep the flowers wild, the food a little bit messy, and the decor home grown.

Inspiration :: Parisian Elopement

Hello lovelies!  Today's inspiration board is a Parisian elopement.  Just the two of you in the city of light.  Slip on the lovely Tulle Era dress from Bhldn, head up to Buttes-Chaumont for an intimate ceremony overlooking the park, after you have made it official head off to Le Baratin for a divine dinner, then cuddle up at le citizen hotel du canal paris and gaze at the rooftops from your window.  Swoooooon.

Wedding trend :: Neon Golden

I love this tropical technicolor palate for a beach wedding.  This modern palate combined with a tropical setting will make for one happy wedding. Also, these fun colors photograph really well, so you are sure to end up with some amazing pictures.
