I know, I know,  I know... nobody puts baby in the corner.  Well, that's where my blog has been for the last couple of months.  Relegated to a dark corner and covered in glittery dust, while I was elbow deep in real life wedding business.  But I am happy to report that I am back in action!

Right now I'm fighting a sweet tooth, and I'm kinda obsessed with an Orange and gold wedding palette... look for more on that later in the week.  Until then, this will whet your appetite...

Today's board is all pretty and all pink. It's very girly, but if your fiance is down for a pink wedding then I say run with it.  Tone down the soft pink tones with Navy or Grey for a classic yet pretty color combination.

Yellow is one wedding trend that looks like it's here to stay.  Which, in my opinion is a good thing because I adore it.  This neutral palate stays modern with it's use of brilliant touches of yellow.  More often than not, you see yellow showing up in the bridesmaid dresses or the florals, but why not the wedding dress?  This dress is sure to make you a convert.

Inspiration :: A Country Wedding

Being a country girl at heart (growing up in Oklahoma will do that to you) I have a deep love for down home styled weddings.  This wedding would be right at home on the farm, in the meadow, or near the barn.  The teal and orange palate is lively but comfortable.  Keep the flowers wild, the food a little bit messy, and the decor home grown.

No, not that featherlove.  The real life featherlove is all kinds of fabulous, but this board is inspired by feathers, literally.

These screen printed linen napkins would be lovely at a rustic wedding. This could also be an easy, although time consuming DIY project.  Just find a fabric you love and sew up some square dinner napkins.

Winter White Wedding

Ah, the all white palate...simple, elegant, and perfect for a winter wedding.

A winter white palate can easily be extravagant, imagine vintage crystal vases filled to the brim with white peonies.  Or it can be a very economical approach to wedding design, and perfect for the DIY'er. Instead of peonies you could use carnations or spray roses, which are surprisingly chic when grouped together in big bunches. Use white linens, white paper lanterns, enormous paper poufs,  candles galore, and just a hint of black to complete the look.
