Inspiration :: Fit for a Baroness

Ok, ok, ok...I'm jumping on the royal bandwagon.  I can't help myself.  Since we are approaching the Royal wedding at a feverish pace,  I thought I would work my up the royal ranks of wedding inspiration.

Lets start with an Inspiration board fit for a Baroness, shall we?

Inspiration :: Golden Romance

I love this inspiration board.  I think it's just dreamy...

The color palate is strong while remaining romantic and classic.  This wedding would suit a romantic bride who appreciates simplicity and rich details...

Inspiration :: Yellow & Nude

Yellow is one wedding trend that looks like it's here to stay.  Which, in my opinion is a good thing because I adore it.  This neutral palate stays modern with it's use of brilliant touches of yellow.  More often than not, you see yellow showing up in the bridesmaid dresses or the florals, but why not the wedding dress?  This dress is sure to make you a convert.

Valentines day from A to Z.

It's nice to get a little something special on valentines day.  It was always the homemade valentines day card that stole my heart when I was a little girl, and when it comes to matters of the heart, it's the thought that counts.

Hand made valentines cards are the best.  If you find yourself lacking in imagination then I suggest hitting up PaperSource.  These are especially cute...

Stumped on what to write in your card? Use someone else's words.  I won't tell ;)

My Honey Bee

Drink the nectar of Greek gods with me
Of the sweetness that’s near to me
My flower child
Buzz in my ear
Sweet songs of passion
Surround me with kisses and sighs
Fly into this lovely space
Come to me with smiles
And tell me no lies
Tell me tales of hope and joy
Filled with our dreams
And that you need me
And must have me
And be with me forever…

There is nothing like a little Neruda on Valentines day....

Love Sonnet XVII

I don't love you as if you were the salt-rose, topaz
or arrow of carnations that propagate fire:
I love you as certain dark things are loved,
secretly, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that doesn't bloom and carries
hidden within itself the light of those flowers,
and thanks to your love, darkly in my body
lives the dense fragrance that rises from the earth.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I don't know any other way of loving

but this, in which there is no I or you,
so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,
so intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close.

Pablo Neruda (1904 – 1973)

Getting ready to ring in 2011

I am making the shift to New Years eve planning, yay!  Bubbly!  Sexy little party dresses!  Sparkly baubles! High heels! Confetti, Noise makers, Kisses at midnight. Here's what I'm thinking...

It always seems to rain on New Years so I think I'll go with a glammed up pony, why fight the weather?

What to wear?  I never have a party dress when I need one, and I usually don't want to spend a fortune on something I am going to wear once.  I'll hit up Lady in Eagle rock, it's local, affordable, and always  has the cutest little dresses. If I strike out there then there is always H&M...

LadyEagleRock.com

hm.com to locate a store near you

The shoes make the outfit, right?  I'll head over to Vamp in Los Feliz to pick out the perfect pair.

Jewelry is always a must on New Years.  And since it's such a festive and fun holiday ditch the delicate jewelry in favor of something  bold.

I'm in Love with the Lulu Frost for Jcrew jewelry line.  Affordable heirloom pieces and  each piece is absolutely glam.

Forever 21 accessories always fit the bill for a quick, and ridiculously cheap Jewelry fix...

Now I'm really excited for New years!

Winter White Wedding

Ah, the all white palate...simple, elegant, and perfect for a winter wedding.

A winter white palate can easily be extravagant, imagine vintage crystal vases filled to the brim with white peonies.  Or it can be a very economical approach to wedding design, and perfect for the DIY'er. Instead of peonies you could use carnations or spray roses, which are surprisingly chic when grouped together in big bunches. Use white linens, white paper lanterns, enormous paper poufs,  candles galore, and just a hint of black to complete the look.

BLACK FRIDAY

I love the idea of Black Friday, but it sounds sexier than it actually is.  I mean, have you ever been to the mall on Black Friday? I went, once, and it was insane.

At least we can all be thankful for the Internet.  Avoid the crowds and check out these 'all black' Black Friday items.

Enjoy!

I covet this Foley + Corina bag.  It's definitely making my Christmas wish list.

I love this T shirt.  It looks comfy and chic.  Also,  the model has big boobs, so I can actually tell what it might look like on me - LOVE that! Seriously, models never have boobs, never.

This necklace is awesome.  A whole lot sexy, pretty and tough, in a dainty size.

Last, but certainly not least, are these boots by Prada.  Expensive?  uh-huh. Worth every penny?  You know it!

Wouldn't you  be happy to find these goodies waiting for you under the tree this year?

I know I would...Well, we will just have to wait and see what Santa brings!
